Natalie started to dance aged 3 at her Mother's school in Lightwater. She furthered her training aged 11 at Elmhurst Ballet School. At 16 Natalie auditioned for 7 of the countries best dance colleges and was accepted at all of them. She was offered a scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts, but decided to go to The Royal Ballet School where she completed the prestigious 3 year Teacher Training Course gaining her Diploma which is renowned throughout the world.

After graduating Natalie became one of the most highly qualified teachers not just in the area, but in the United Kingdom. She immediately
taught for Sheena Rawlins, and then became the principal/owner of the school 24 years ago, but has been teaching in the school for 26 years.
In addition to the basic training at The Royal Ballet School she studied the following in depth:-

Voice Production - Dalcroze Eurythmics - Music
Specialised Pointe Work - Technical Theory - Drama
Also during the course she assisted teaching at White Lodge under Shirley Graham and the Junior Associates with Mary Goodhew.
Whilst at Elmhurst Ballet school Natalie gained experience performing in numerous Christmas pantomimes, summer dance shows and appeared in Spotlight. She was also chosen to dance with the first ever Youth Ballet Workshop at Sadlers Wells Theatre.
Since graduating she has been to guest teach in Italy, Germany, Portugal, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Singapore covering Ballet, Modern, Tap and Spanish dance. Being one of the few qualified Spanish Dance Society teachers in the UK, Natalie has also taught Flamenco for the Royal Academy of Dance in various regions throughout the country.

AUDREY WRAIGHT ARAD Examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance
Audrey (Natalie's mother) danced under her maiden name & professional name ‘Betts'.
Having won a scholarship at the age of 11 to The Royal Ballet School in London it was here that she was nurtured and taught by the founder of the school and ballet company Dame Ninette De Valois. In her year were a number of famous dancers:-
Dame Antionette Sibley the present President of the Royal Academy of Dance, Lyn Seymour and the late dancer/actor Christopher Gable. On graduation she danced with The Royal Ballet Company at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden before joining The Stuttgart State Ballet Company in Germany as a soloist. Whilst on the continent she was invited as a guest artist to perform in numerous European companies as well as appear on television.
On returning to England she joined the London Festival Ballet now known as the English National Ballet.
After retiring from dancing Audrey taught at Elmhurst Ballet School before opening her own school in Lightwater which she had for 14 years.
Audrey has been an examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance for 38 years and has examined and taught in many of the 82 countries associated with the Academy.
Audrey has tutored many teachers in gaining their teaching qualifications over the years and continues to privately coach students of all ages from all areas prior to their examinations. She has also undertaken many regional courses for the Royal Academy in syllabus, repetoire and teacher refresher courses.
She is an extremely popular and highly respected examiner and teacher worldwide and her wealth of knowledge and great expertise are greatly appreciated in Natalie's school.
