Our Ethos

The school aims to provide a happy, friendly and disciplined environment in which students will enjoy learning and be inspired to achieve results of the highest possible standards whilst promoting technical excellence and endeavouring to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for our students. The strength of this approach is reflected in our excellent examination results. We create a caring and nurturing environment, which in turn encourages their growth in self-confidence and provides a foundation for their social development.
Classes
Baby Ballet

Baby Ballet classes start from aged two and a half for boys and girls with a fun and caring approach. The classes contain basic technique, imagery, story-telling and the use of fun props and musical instruments.
The classes enable the children to express themselves whilst being in a safe and familiar environment. Baby ballet classes are half an hour in length as we feel this is the optimum time for young children to concentrate and learn.

RAD Ballet - Pre-Primary to Grade 5

Our Ballet classes follow The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examination syllabus.
Starting at Pre-Primary and progressing to Grade 5 for boys and girls. Students are awarded credits for taking their Graded examinations and these can be used for furthering their education.
All students are encouraged to take Ballet classes even if they feel it is not their preferred dance genre, as Ballet is the foundation of all other dance styles.
RAD Higher Grades 6, 7 & 8  and Vocational Exams

RAD Higher Grades 6, 7 , Grade 8 Award and Vocational exams are taken in the school. These examinations give students the chance to gain UCAS points. This means that candidates who have achieved a pass or higher can use their RAD exam result towards their points tariff when applying to a relevant course at a university or higher education in the UK.

Modern Theatre Dance

Modern Theatre Dance is a rhythmic dance style and is often seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility. This is a highly energetic dance style.
Our Modern Theatre Dance classes follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) examination syllabus. Classes start in Primary from aged 5 for boys and girls, and continue through the Grades into Vocational examinations.
Tap Dance

Tap Dance is a form of dance where the dancer uses their feet to strike the floor beating out different rhythms. They wear tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. There is also a belief that Tap dancing can help with the study of musical instruments.
Our Tap Dance classes follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) examination syllabus. Classes start in Pre-Primary from aged 5 for boys and girls, and continue through the Grades into Vocational examinations.
